
Amy Hughes

British contemporary artist Amy Hughes (b. 1992, Leicestershire, UK) is an established painter whose work has been exhibited internationally in both solo and group exhibitions. She has completed artist residencies in the UK and New York and has taught painting at the New York Academy of Art.
Hughes received her BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Liverpool Hope University in 2013 before earning an MFA from the New York Academy of Art in 2016. Her achievements include the Prince of Wales Award and the Liverpool Women’s Hospital Purchase Prize, and her work is held in public and private collections. Notably, her paintings have been sold at Sotheby’s New York, and she has exhibited in the International Biennale Portrait Competition at the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art.
Her practice has been featured in numerous publications, including W Magazine, Aesthetica Magazine, Cheshire Life, and The Liverpool Echo.
