Light Receiver

Light Receiver explores the poetic relationship between light, transparency, and the permanence of stone. A luminous form of polished optical glass rests upon raw marble, creating a striking dialogue between two contrasting materials.

The rugged, opaque marble evokes the permanence and geological memory of the earth, while the transparent glass captures, refracts, and transforms surrounding light. As illumination changes, the sculpture continually shifts in appearance, making light itself an active element of the work.

The juxtaposition of raw stone and precisely polished glass creates a contemplative balance between nature and human intervention, weight and weightlessness, matter and light.
